Why Cybersecurity GRC Professionals Should Get Hands on with AI

A great AI/Cyber career development discussion popped into my YouTube feed this morning, rhyming off practical applications to: GRC, Incident Response, Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Red Team and more. They note that:

  • Like cybersecurity, AI is a lifestyle

  • A continuous learning mindset is crucial to advancing your career in cyber

That sounds like good advice, so let’s jump into 6 more fabric demos.

AI Lab Demo 21 | analyze_claims

In this video I run a funny AI parody from YouTube through the the analyze_claims fabric pattern.

AI Lab Demo 22 | NP4K Extractor input multiple blog URLs to fabric

In this video I try out a GitHub project called NP4K Extractor and it works great. As noted on the project page: "This is a simple script that takes a list of URLs for blog posts, articles, etc and runs Newspaper4K against them to extract summaries, keywords, titles, and other metadata fields. It can also use NLP to assess sentiment. It was created to extract data and feed it into Fabric for generating summaries, extracting wisdom, or lesson plans and objectives. Or any other Fabric patterns that make sense."

AI Lab Demo 23 | clean_text 40% efficiency gain

In this video I try out the clean_text fabric pattern/prompt which yielded a 40% efficiency gain for a YouTube transcript, by "cleaning up broken and, malformatted, text, for example: line breaks in weird places, etc."

AI Lab Demo 24 | analyze_incident City Of Hamilton Ransomware Attack

In this video I try out the analyze_incident fabric pattern to get up to speed on the recent cyber incident at the City of Hamilton in Ontario, Canada.

AI Lab Demo 25 | ts (Audio Transcriptions) MP4 to text

In this video I try out the Fabric Helper App 'ts' (Audio Transcriptions), which is an input command that uses the OpenApi Whisper API to transcribe audio files. It was easy to install and worked great to input an MP3 file to the extract_wisdom pattern/prompt.

AI Lab Demo 26 | create_better_frame

In this video I try out the create_better_frame fabric pattern/prompt, "an expert at finding better, positive mental frames for seeing the world as described in the Framing is Everything essay." I apply it to the r/Accounting subreddit.

You need to study RIGHT NOW!!

Good luck getting after it and let me know how it’s going in the YouTube comments.
